If you haven't traded with him before, just go in with another pet later. You won't be losing any days, because you haven't traded with him before. You can always go in with another pet (up to 5 I think), but it would mean using up an extra gem, or 2, for that day. Good luck!

I tried yesterday with a 4th pet and it would do it. So I was thinking 3 is the limit.
